The Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point

We drove to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope on a cold, windy afternoon. The waves were huge!

We saw lots of ostriches on our way...it seems strange to see ostriches near the ocean.

Cape Town

I went to Cape Town during the spring holiday and met up with Charlene and her sister Anita. We had a great time despite the rain, cold, and windy weather.

Our condo overlooked the harbor, which was very cool to see. However, it was not so cool to hear them loading and unloading goods at 3 in the morning!

Civies Day

The day before our 'Spring Holiday' was civies day, the day where students could pay R10 (about $1.50) to wear their own clothes to school. Some students went shopping for a new outfit, and some weren't going to pay to wear their own clothes. Everyone was excited not to wear a skirt and tie and to be able to wear make-up and their hair down.

10-Pin Bowling

My friend Nicola teaches PE at Girls' High and recently got a promotion to teach at a private school next year. To celebrate we went 10-pin bowling.

Girls' High made it to the finals, and they played Westville Girls' High.

Keira's 2nd Birthday
